Hotel Consigli is a three-stars Hotel located in the historical center of Florence near the railway station Santa Maria Novella, Stazione Leopolda, Fortezza da Basso, Palazzo dei Congressi, Palazzo degli Affari, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the American Consulate, with roofgarden overlooking the Arno river and view on Ponte Vecchio which is near the Uffizi gallery, private internal parking.
This noble building, once the residence of the Demidoff family, with its fortunate and quiet position on the Lungarno Vespucci, has seen as its guests, Petr Ilic Cajkowskij who remembered in “Souvenir of Florence” the impressions from his period in Florence, as well as Leon Tolstoi who stayed here during some winters in the late ‘800.
The building has an incomparable view of the Arno river. The Bellosguardo and the Forte Belvedere in a beautiful setting on the hills give You feelings dated back to the “Fiorenza” of Michelangelo and Leonardo, while looking towards Torre del Gallo and the hill of Arcetri, takes You back to the times of Galileo Galilei and what this city was during the Renaissance.
