Tenuta Monacelle is located in peaceful, rural surroundings on the outskirts of Selva di Fasano a collection of stone built villas and trulli, surrounded by pines, gardens and orchards, located on a hilly ridge high above the Adriatic plain.
Originally a convent dating to the late 1700’s, the complex consists of a cluster of 30 cone-roofed trulloes.
Not so far from the Trullos, others buildings, the Masserias, are built. Each of them is provided of bedrooms 8 (on both ground and first floor) and located in an elegant and comfortable location.
All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating, minibar, LCD tv set, direct telephone, hair - drier, cable internet, safe and satellite channels.
In the magic of its locations, the Tenuta has a characteristic restaurant “Il Ciliegeto” where refine and typical Apulian dishes are prepared by a professional staff. In the summer evenings we suggest unforgettable dinners with piano bar either in the breathtaking terrace overlooking the cherry orchard or by the swimming pool.
Once a week, for the apulian tradition lovers, we organize tipical and folcloristick evenings where old craftsmans show their arts. During these evenings clients could buy handmade products like wicker baskets, pasta, wool mantles, cheeses, liqueurs, almond sweets and… Our chef combines these evenings with apulian menus made with local products and traditional recipes.
A sandy beach is included with ombrellas, sunbeds and shuttle service in summer season as well as one hour of yoga per day. Our guests have the possibility to rent our bicicles for excursions in the countryside of Selva di Fasano, do massages, play tennis in the tennis court 5 km far or attend lesson in the riding school 10 km far. In our cherry ochard with 900 trees, during May and June each client gets own cherry tree to harvest.
Tenuta Monacelle could be your ideal rural retreat from which to explore some of Apulia’s best known attractions all within a half hour’s drive. Amongst them the town of Alberobello the world’s trulli capital, the wine growing area surrounding the town of Locorotondo, Martina Franca with wonderful baroque architecture, Ostuni the white city, the coastal strip by the Adriatic and the grottoes of Castellana.
